During these difficult times we really need positive role models and Roberto Saviano is surely one of them. He’s a brave and patriotic writer who is prepared to expose the Mafia  through his books. Italians should be very proud of him. Roberto is a brave man because he always tells the truth about Mafia in his books; he doesn’t care about threats from them. Also he isn’t afraid to be killed because he has strong beliefs. Fighting the Mafia means want a free country, free of people who don’t love Italy. That’s why Roberto never gives up, he always fights the Mafia through his books and mass meetings.

What is your favorite English word?

This is a good question that has asked me Gavin a week ago! And here it is the answer: my really really favorite word in English is “pillow”. I like that word not because of the meaning but for the sound it has in American native speakers mouths. I like other English words such as “perhaps” because I think that Italians can’t reproduce these words in the right way at all. Pronouncing “Th”, “h” , “oa” and others sounds sound unfamiliar for latin speakers. This is why I like these kind of words pronounced by Americans: they sound cooler!!!

The person who most admire is my boyfriend Renato. First he is very responsible because he is a hard worker. He has a permanent job working at the port in Genova, loading and unloading containers from ships. It’s shift work but he always arrives at work on time. Secondly he’s always good with me. He helps me if I have problem by listening to me and suggesting how I could solve it. Finally he is good with my family. My grandfather is 96 years old and when he calls Renato, he always talks to him and helps when my grandfather needs it.
